Can it really do that? Artificial intelligence (AI) in the therapist's office
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a popular buzzword, as online applications like ChatGPT and Google’s Bard receive considerable attention in the popular media. There is a diversity of opinions about how AI will change the way different professions work, and therapy is no exception. Will therapists be replaced by “chatbots”? Or maybe the better question is, “How can we use the best that AI has to offer to enhance services to our clients?” AI is a tool like other technologies and how we decide to configure, utilize, and harness the power of AI tools is up to us.
Building on the interest in AI from the WAMFT 2023 conference, this hands-on, interactive webinar will be useful to MFTs who are new to learning about AI, as well as therapists who have some experience with AI tools. Ethical issues, such as privacy, confidentiality, and bias will be discussed.
