Releasing Trauma

Many clients and therapists hold trauma inside. The is a strong importance for that to be released for your own health and your client's health and well-being. This presentation will focus on the modality of Somatic Breath work to focus on that release. This presentation includes an interactive experience of Somatic Breath work.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will learn how to create a safe space for trauma to be released in.
  2. Participants will learn the importance of breathing and the pace of breathing within this modality.
  3. Participants will participate in an experience of Somatic Breath work.

Tyler Van Zeeland, LMFT-IT

Speaker Information

Tyler, LMFT-IT, graduated from Northcentral University in 2021 with his M.S. in General Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling. He is working at Oshkosh Marriage and Family Therapy Center, LLC as he nears full licensure. He uses Somatic Breathe work and EMDR therapy in conjunction with other models to provide individualize care to clients. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his two daughters, son, and dog Gyspy. Tyler has both personal and therapeutic experience being trained in and utilizing Somatic Breath work. The release his clients have experienced is been reported as "spiritually awakening," "welcomed relief," and "life-changing."
