    Changes are happening at CTAMFT!

As we announced earlier today, our Chair, Deb Borzellino, has stepped down from her role, effective immediately. With that news we as a Board are gearing up for a fresh chapter with a new, full board ready to serve YOU the MFT and mental health community of Connecticut. We're excited about all the ways we can keep building connections, creating opportunities, and serving YOU-our incredible community of therapists. Big things are ahead, and we can't wait to share them with you!

With this change, Kristina Chomick, LMFT will be taking over as CTAMFT Chair effective immediately with a term ending December 31, 2027.  Kristina has served on the CTAMFT Board since 2018 and with her experience she brings a wealth of knowledge about CTAMFT and a drive to build more community and connection both on the board and with our membership at large. Until we fill the position, Kristina will continue with the duties of the Engagement Chair, making sure you as a community are informed about all the happenings at CTAMFT.

Additionally, and also very exciting, Marianne Tyghter, LMFTA will be taking over the role of vice-chair/chair-elect beginning September 1, 2025 a term also ending December 31, 2027. Marianne brings new energy to the board and has fresh and exciting perspectives on how to continue to grow our reach in the community and as an organization. Marianne will continue as the Fairfield County Liaison until we are able to fill her position.

The rest of the Executive Board will stay the same for now.

    Treasurer: Jill Bukowski, LMFT

Secretary: Geena Chiaravalloti, LMFT (With Theresa Pennachio taking over when Geena's term ends December 31, 2025).

    Advocacy Chair: Jaime Rodriguez, LMFT

    Events Chair: Briana Hansen, LMFT

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Chair: Jordan Bryant, LMFT

Program Outreach Coordinator: Jennifer Benben, LMFT

With these shifts, we do have open positions, including the Engagement Chair and Liaison positions.  Please contact us today for more information on how to get involved! We need your energy and commitment to CTAMFT and Mental Health in CT to keep our mission going.
