Licensure Requirements

In Alabama, you can pursue the following Marriage and Family Therapy licensure tracks: associate licensure (LMFTA) prior to full licensure or independent licensure (LMFT). All MFT licensure in the state of Alabama is managed through the Alabama Board of Examiners in Marriage and Family Therapy. You can visit their main website here.

Intern Licensure (LMFTI)
