This event is taught by Lauren Keiser, PhD, LPC-S, CEDS-S, EAC and will be held virtually in Arizona Time. This presentation will discuss utilization of Strategic Family Therapy perspectives to conceptualize difficult cases with complex symptomology. Moving beyond the identified patient to understand how symptoms are serving a function for the client, and within the family system, allows the clinician to help the client meet underlying needs in a more adaptive manner. Case examples will demonstrate how to identify and apply appropriate interventions to address the multiple layers of intricacy that may exist with complex symptomology.
