On Friday, April 10th, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear signed House Bill 459 into law. As this bill is finalized into law, Kentucky becomes the 14th state to pass Access MFTs legislation and the first state to pass Access MFTs legislation in 2026. The sections of House Bill 459 pertaining to licensure by endorsement for marriage and family therapists will be enacted this summer.
