Access MFTs Bill Filed in Tennessee

  

On Thursday, February 1st, companion bills HB 2296 and SB 2399 were introduced in the Tennessee House and Senate by Representative Sam Whitson and Senator Richard Briggs, respectively. These bills aim to streamline licensure processes for MFTs from other states, facilitating their practice in Tennessee and improving access to vital mental health services across communities. This bill aims to break down barriers to mental health care access and foster a supportive environment for all Tennesseans.
