Conference Details

Venue: The conference will take place at the Ohio Union (https://ohiounion.osu.edu/)

Lodging: Guest rooms are available at the on-campus Blackwell Inn (https://www.theblackwell.com/) for $179 plus tax (one king or two queen beds) or $229 plus tax (loft king room) per night. Please utilize the booking link: OSU Human Sciences-Intervention Research in Systemic Family Therapy or you may phone 866-247-4003 and ask for the OSU Human Sciences-2025 Intervention Research in Systemic Family Therapy Conference room block utilizing group booking code: IRSFTSEPT25. Reservation requests must be made no later than Monday, August 4, 2025. Travel: Attendees should plan to fly into John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH). There is a parking garage next to the hotel for attendees traveling by vehicle.

  • Ride-share services and taxis are available from CMH to the Blackwell Hotel. If you are interested in sharing rides to and from the airport, you can add your information and connect with others through this spreadsheet: IRSFT 2025 Airport Travel Coordination Sign-up.xlsx
  • Shuttle buses will run attendees back and forth between the Union and the Blackwell during designated times; the distance between the two is about 0.5 miles a 10-15 minute walk.

Meals: A continental breakfast will be available both days for attendees from 8-9 at the Union. Heavy appetizers and beverages will be available at Keeley’s on Wednesday evening. There will be hors d’oeuvres at the poster reception. Lunch and dinners are on your own. There is a dining facility on the ground floor of the Union with a variety of cuisine options and a map and list of restaurants walkable from the hotel and the Union will be provide upon check-in at the Blackwell.

Instructions for Presenters:

  • Papers & Workshops: Paper and workshop sessions are 75 minutes long. You should bring your presentation on a flash drive and upload it to the laptop in the room your session is assigned to prior to your presentation time. As a backup, it is recommended that you also bring your laptop. Each paper presenter will have up to 12 minutes to present, and we will hold 15 minutes at the end for all presenters to receive questions. Please prepare a power point presentation consistent with a 12-minute talk. There will be a moderator assigned to the paper sessions to keep track of time and facilitate the Q&A.   • Posters: September 4th from 4:45-6:15PM (EST) in the Grand Ballroom, Ohio State Union. Set up during one of the morning session breaks or lunch. There will be poster stands with 60x40in. boards that you will attach your poster to (we will be using the front and backs of the boards). Push-pins/clips will be provided. You are responsible for making sure your poster can fit on the board and is no larger than 60x40. Tear down directly after the poster reception.
