In this presentation digital intimate connections between people and their technologies are explored. This presentation opens with a brief overview of intimacy, followed by a description of the predominant waves of the modern technological age. The presenter then discusses two types of intimacy—attachment and sexuality—in a digital context, which includes digital attachment (digiattachment) and digital sexuality (digisexuality). The presentation concludes with a brief overview of how to begin to attend to digital intimacy in clinical practice, including digiidentity development, digistigma, digiphobia, and erotocentrism.
