Cheryl Donald, MA, MBA, LMFT is a New York State Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Life Coach, and Healthcare Executive who has spent two decades working with public health providers to improve their operating and clinical systems, manage performance outcomes, and reduce health disparities in their communities. In 2013, Cheryl founded Brooklyn Marriage & Family Therapy, PLLC, a private psychotherapy practice, as a vehicle to fuse her knowledge of the business of healthcare with her passion for providing mental health services. John Carroll of Equity Therapy, PLLC After a successful career as a Broadway dancer and writer, John redirected his passion and creativity to be of service to the community as a psychotherapist. John earned a BFA in Dance from the Juilliard School and a Master’s in Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mercy College. John started Equity Therapy, a private practice in New York City in 2019 and is a steering committee member at The Institute for Human Identity, the nation's oldest LGBTQ+ affirming therapy site. John has written for The Huffington Post, The Advocate, Queerty.com, and has been featured in Redbook, Playbill.com, Them Magazine and on NBC LX. John has provided mental health services for such Broadway shows as Hadestown, Ain't Too Proud and Dear Evan Hansen. John has experience working with the LGBTQ+ community, performing artists, as well as with individuals and couples navigating open relationships, polyamory, and other non-traditional sexual expressions in a sex-positive atmosphere.
