Sexless Relationships, Could Surrogate Partner Therapy Be A Way?
Humans are social creatures who thrive in relationships. Whether you are 20 or 90 years old, wanting and needing connection, intimacy and a sexual connection is a healthy thing. Yet, the truth is, a sexually intimate relationship requires consistency, effort, intentionality, and work. The objective is to demonstrate what a sexless marriage or relationship entails and what ‘possible’ role surrogate partner therapy can play in assisting these relationships and LMFTs.
- Participants will be able to identify a sexless relationship and what is surrogate partner therapy.
- Participants will learn the legal and ethical implications for LMFTs working with a sexual surrogate.
- Participants will learn the benefits for couples, LMFTs, and sexual surrogates pairing with each other.
- Participants will be able to describe two or more treatment interventions to address and assist sexless relationships.
