Are you a student who is understandably stressing out over the prospect of having to take the AMFTRB National Examination? We at WAMFT want to less that burden for you by offering a virtual study group. Items you can expect to go over in the
September session
: 1. Understanding how to sign up for exam (Where to access the exams and step by step guide, knowing your location of testing, and understanding any accommodations and ways to apply for accommodations). 2. Knowing which materials are required for testing. 3. Feeling you are ready to take the test. 4. Understanding how much test will cost. 5. Practice Exam prep. Items you can expect to go over in the
October session
: 1. Figuring out the best way to meet your study needs (e.g. get a CD set or an audio code). 2. Understanding theories. 3. Understanding when to apply which theory. 4. Q&A.
Items you can expect to go over in the
November session
:
1. Understanding ethical considerations. 2. Understanding treatment planning. 3. Understanding skills and interventions. 4. Understanding intake, assessment, and diagnosis. 5. Q&A
We hope that you will take this opportunity to discussion questions, concerns, study strategies, etc. about the exam. So join fellow WAMFT student member, Samia Khan to address this and more regarding the exam so that you go into this process feeling more prepared.
