This presentation by Dr. Racine Henry will introduce the possible barriers and constraints present when conducting virtual couples therapy sessions. Participants will be introduced to the Integrative Systemic Therapy framework as a method for conceptualizing working with romantic partners. Participants will learn clinical interventions that are suitable for telehealth sessions. The importance of self of the therapist considerations will be explored as it pertains to couples therapy and working remotely.
Racine R. Henry, PhD, LMFT, CCTP, has been practicing psychotherapy since 2008 and holds a license in Marriage and Family Therapy in New York. In addition to extensive work with couples, Racine is experienced in group therapy, family therapy, anger management training, and treating various mental health diagnoses including depression, infidelity, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and adjustment issues. Dr. Henry is an AAMFT Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor and a Core Faculty member of The Family Institute at Northwestern University. Additionally, Dr. Henry is the founder of Sankofa Marriage & Family Therapy, PLLC, and the creator of Integrative Culinary Therapy and the “A Palate For Love”™️series.
