Domestic Violence Education and Telehealth Considerations

This presentation will cover basics about domestic violence in the context of clinical practice and how trauma affects survivors. We will discuss how to thoroughly assess for safety concerns and how to create a plan collectively with survivors. We will discuss tools and techniques to being the most effective in Telehealth practice and assessing for safety.

Presenter: Wendy Blanco, LCSW
Wendy is a licensed clinical social worker with more than 17 years of experience in the field of trauma. Her expertise is working with survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, individuals living with HIV/AIDS, and clinical work as it relates to how trauma impacts individuals, families, and communities. She uses a strengths-based approach with an understanding of how trauma affects the brain and the body. More information is available about her HERE

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations to any paid event and any subsequent request for refund must be made in writing no later than 15 days prior to the start of the event. Upon cancellation you have the right to request that your fee (in full) be held (for up to one year) and used toward another event registration from this same AAMFT Network. If you prefer a refund, cancellations made more than 45 days before the event will receive a 75% refund. Cancellations made between 44 and 15 days before the event will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be offered within 14 days of the event.
