Counseling Active Duty Service Members and Their Families

In this two hour webinar, Jerry and Angela Waldrop will share their experience and expertise in working with active duty service members and their families. Participants will have the opportunity to earn 2 CEU’s as they learn about the attributes, diagnoses, treatment, family challenges and transitions unique to the active duty service member population.

Session Objectives:

  • Identify the unique attributes of military mental health services for active duty service members.
  • Describe some unique differences in terms of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of active duty service members and veterans.
  • Discuss the deployment cycle and psychosocial family challenges that are unique to active duty service members and their family members.
  • Identify the unique career transition aspects of active duty service members and their family members transitioning to civilian life.
