“Building Multi-Tiered Systems of Support for Multidisciplinary School-Based Teams

Dr. Donohue is an Assistant Professor and School Counseling Coordinator at Central
Connecticut State University in the Counselor Education and Family Therapy Graduate
Training Program. She is a teacher, book author and frequent speaker at conferences on
school-based services. She will present the workshop “Building Multi-Tiered Systems of
Support for Multidisciplinary School-Based Teams” on Friday, September 17, 3:30 – 5 PM
(ET) at the Family Therapy in Schools Topical Interest Network Zoom webinar. The
workshop with Dr. Kathleen Laundy will award continuing education credits for attendees.

Learning objectives:

1. Participants will learn new ways to address multiple layers of systemic support to
students, teachers, and families in schools.
2. Participants will develop innovative ways to build multidisciplinary partnerships in
schools to boost student achievement and resiliency.
3. Participants will learn new ways to address the unique short and long range
systemic effects of the coronavirus pandemic and social justice events on students,
families and educators.
