Self-Leadership Collaborative Schools: Systemic Well-being Inspired from the Inside Out by IFS

When:  Jan 29, 2021 from 03:30 PM to 05:00 PM (ET)
The global pandemic has highlighted the profound need in our schools for adults and students alike to experience a new way of accessing their innate inner resources and operating from true well-being.  We know this is the essential platform for learning, teaching, problem solving and systemic change.  Internal Family Systems offers simple, unique and transformative concepts and skills to address this fundamental social and emotional need in our schools.  IFS offers us powerful pathways to tap into and lead from our best Selves.  It provides clarity for how we can understand and relate effectively to the many parts of us coming up in this time - frustration, exhaustion, overwhelm, as well as determination, ingenuity, and more.  As we practice compassionately connecting to these parts in ourselves and others, we build healthy relationships and clear perspective to effectively address our current challenges and constraints, one step at a time.  This is a formula for sustainable, systemic change.

A pioneering group of systemic therapists and educators are collaborating to pilot the application of IFS in schools, not only for individual benefit or for acute situations, but also to build a school wide culture shift.  Come to this session to hear more about utilizing IFS in schools from Joanna Curry-Sartori.  She is the Founding Director of the Self-leadership Collaborative, a school-based Marriage and Family therapist who is leading this organization and championing a unique and exciting new approach to SEL.
