Lenore M. McWey is a systemic family therapy (SFT) intervention researcher, professor, and director of the Marriage and Family Therapy doctoral program at Florida State University. She has received National Institutes of Health (NIH) research support for her work with children and families involved with the child welfare system. Results of her research have been widely published in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals. Currently, she serves as a scientific reviewer for the Health, Behavior, and Context subcommittee of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development of NIH. She has been the recipient of the Florida State University Distinguished Teacher of the Year and the Outstanding Graduate Faculty Mentor awards. She recently served as an editor of The Handbook of Systemic Family Therapy, Volume 2, Systemic Family Therapy with Children and Adolescents.
