Covid and Compassion Fatigue Across the Career-span

When:  Dec 3, 2021 from 02:30 PM to 04:00 PM (ET)
Mental health clinicians are regularly at risk for compassion fatigue and burnout, and this risk has continued throughout the Covid19 pandemic. During this time, the public has increasingly accessed mental health care, and clinicians are often working with greater number of patients with more severe care needs. The rates of compassion fatigue and burnout have increased among mental health professionals, and according to a recent APA study, mental health clinicians' health is suffering. With all this in mind, we also know that compassion fatigue and burnout may be experienced differently depending on clinicians' career stage and their social location identities . This webinar will first provide a broad overview of compassion fatigue, burnout, and current knowledge of clinician's health. Following this overview, the panelists will engage in a conversation about their own experiences, challenges, and lessons learned about caring for others and self throughout the pandemic and looking forward to the future.

Please note this event will be held at 1:30pm CST/2:30pm EST
