Enlighten: Enhancing Knowledge through Deeper Clinical Applications

Join us in-person February 20th-21st in Birmingham, AL for our annual conference. We will focus on enhancing our clinical knowledge in an offering of MFT Clinical skills, treatment, and ethics.

This year’s conference highlights the evolving role of the Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) as a versatile, systemic thinker capable of addressing complex human and professional challenges. A central theme is the integration of cultural humility and innovation—from supporting Black families navigating the "Strong Black Woman" narrative in postpartum care to leveraging AI as a "thoughtful partner" in practice management.

Sessions move beyond traditional clinical boundaries, exploring non-traditional career paths in corporate consulting and leadership, as well as specialized work with first responders. There is a strong emphasis on clinician sustainability; the "Pace, Pause, Pivot" framework offers a cyclical approach to preventing burnout, ensuring that therapists can maintain their vitality while providing ethical, high-quality care. By applying a systemic lens to both client dynamics and the business of therapy, participants are empowered to navigate modern systemic barriers, utilize emerging technologies, and foster holistic wellbeing for themselves and those they serve.
