Accentuate: A focus on special populations
Join us in-person February 7-8th in Auburn, AL for our annual conference. We will focus on special populations in the therapy room in an offering of MFT Clinical skills, treatment, and ethics.
This two day event will feature speakers discussing how to work with clients who struggle with substance abuse, the intricacies of men in therapy, working with the LGBTQ+ population, clients who are neurodiverse, and aging clients. Our speakers are a diverse group of professionals ready to share their experience with us.

This event provides 11 CE hours through NBCC approved provider AAMFT, ACEP#5209.
Lodging Information
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hotel at Auburn University & Dixon Conference Center for Thursday and Friday night. To reserve a room in the block, click on our block link and make your reservation. This block is open for reservation 1 January 2025 until 8 January, 2025. Please plan to book your room quickly for assurance in our block rate. Please note all hotel questions, issues, and concerns need to be directed to the hotel, ALAMFT is unable assist with these inquiries due to having no access to the hotel's booking system.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations and any subsequent request for refund must be made in writing. Payment is non-transferable to any future event. Cancellations made more than 30 days before the event will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made between 29 and 15 days before the event will receive a 50% refund. Due to vendor deadlines, a cancellation fee of $40 for students and $100 for all other attendees will be required for cancellations within 14 days of the event. Cancellations are processed by AAMFT and may up to 45 days to process upon submission.
Transfer Policy
You may transfer your registration to virtual registration for the 2025 Annual Conference. To do so, you must cancel your in-person initial registration and complete another registration for the virtual attendance option. Rates of registration at the time of transfer apply. Registrations cannot be transferred after January 24, 2025, due to deadlines with event vendors. You may submit your request in writing to the Board of Directors at alabamamft@gmail.com.
