AAMFT Ethics Textbook Webinar Series

Drawing on the opening chapter of the recently published AAMFT Systemic Ethics Textbook (Zimmerman & Castronova, 2024) this webinar will explore the five foundational principles for ethical practice and decision making. The foundational principles include 1) The AAMFT Code of Ethics, State Laws and Regulations, 2) AAMFT Core Competencies, 3) Current CFT Literature, 4) Practicing as a socially just therapist, 5) Relational Ethics.  This presentation will address the 5 areas using case studies in order for the participants to apply these essential areas to scenarios that are complex and require thoughtful inquiry. Therapists who stand on these 5 are standing on a firm ground. Therapists who are only standing on one or some of these may be practicing on shaky ground.
