This legal ethics webinar provides LMFTs with a practical understanding of the HIPAA Breach Notification Rule and how it applies to behavioral health settings.

Participants will learn how to distinguish between a reportable breach and an impermissible disclosure. The webinar will review federal notification requirements, including when and how to notify affected individuals, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and, when applicable, the media.
