African American and Interracial Couples: Translating Science into Practice

When:  Aug 12, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 01:30 PM (ET)
Description of Event

The Couples and Intimate Relationships Topical Interest Network invite you to a presentation about the practice of couple therapy with African American Interracial Couples with Dr. Anthony Chambers. This is a webinar event worth 1.5 CE credits for those who attend. The majority of our knowledge about African American and interracial couples disproportionately comes from non-clinical social science fields such as sociology and demography. Unfortunately, the scholarly literature on how to work with African American and interracial couples is relatively scant. Join us as Dr. Anthony Chambers provides clinicians and scholars a proposed set of issues to consider when conceptualizing and treating African American interracial couples.
