This training will explore a culturally sensitive way in which supervisors can increase their understanding of their supervisee and support supervisee insight, growth, and development professionally and clinically. Participants will practice completing a cultural genogram in the training and explore the clinical and professional applications of the intervention. Participants will learn how they can broach sensitive and personal topics in a way that feels safe, comfortable, and supportive in the supervisory relationship through the implementation of the cultural genogram.
After attending this training, registrants will:
- Learn how to effectively complete and implement a cultural genogram.
- Gain understanding of at least three benefits to exploring supervisee/supervisor cultural experiences.
- Be able to verbalize at least 3 intervention and/or growth points for supervisees and clinical practice as a result of the implementation of a cultural genogram.
