We are the Washington Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (WAMFT), a statewide Independent Affiliate (formally a division of AAMFT) that provides members with networking and educational events, state advocacy, and the opportunity to connect with other members online to address practice-related questions, resources, and the latest updates on what is happening in our profession. Our parent organization is the Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), a premier professional association for individuals interested in the field of marriage and family therapy.
In order to be a member of WAMFT you must become a member of AAMFT. Registration for WAMFT takes place through the AAMFT website at www.aamft.org. To keep your WAMFT membership active and your local benefits in place, be sure to select “Washington” when signing up or renewing with AAMFT!
AAMFT and WAMFT offer the same membership categories. There are different AAMFT membership applications, depending on your training and experience. For more information about the membership categories and online applications, click on the following membership options. WAMFT fees are below and in addition to AAMFT fees:
