Presenting: Nov 3rd, 2017
“The many financial considerations of divorce. How a Divorce Financial Planner can help clients during this emotionally charged time.”
Divorce can be one of the biggest financial transactions one will ever make - an emotionally draining time, where even the most financially savvy individuals need critical advice. Whether a client is considering or in the midst of a divorce, a Divorce Financial Planner is an excellent resource for divorcing couples when they choose to go their separate ways. While attorneys provide guidance regarding the legal process of divorce, there is often a void when it comes to thoroughly understanding the financial side of the equation and negotiating with confidence.
In this talk, Tricia Elmer (Founder of Creative Divorce Solutions) examines:
• Navigating the often complex financial issues that arise before, during and post-divorce.
• The various do’s and don’ts.
• The short and long-term financial considerations that can have far reaching consequences during this challenging time.
Tricia Elmer is a Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) in the State of Washington, a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®) and a Member of the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts (IDFA™). She formed Creative Divorce Solutions in 2014 to advise individuals, couples, attorneys, and mediators on the intricate financial aspects of divorce and other significant lifestyle changes. Tricia is also the founder of Pacific Horizon Investment Management, a boutique financial advisory firm that provides investment services for individuals, families and related entities. She has 30+ years experience as a financial professional, having managed or co-managed investment accounts for multi-billion dollar institutions, family offices and individual investors. She has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and Forbes magazine – and for several years was a regular contributor to the KIRO Money Minute and a panelist for the MoneyShow®. She is a Trustee for Norwich University and member of the university’s investment committee.
