Carolina Bunta, LMFT born and raised in Puerto Rico, went on to get her Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design from Western Connecticut State University. Having worked previously with youth and families through various leadership and ministry roles, she found a passion for family systems and decided to pursue a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) at Southern Connecticut State University. Today, Carolina is a Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), and is licensed in the state of Connecticut as a Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT. Carolina is currently in pursuit of her Doctorate of Ministry in Theology and Apologetics at Regent University.

As a bilingual therapist, Carolina has experience in systemic treatment approaches to marital and couple's therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and individual therapy. She is EMDR trained, and is a Certified Prepare/Enrich trainer. Carolina’s clinical lens is heavily informed by Post-modern frameworks. Her work also incorporates a systemic approach that includes the use of Multi-generational theories, and Experiential Models.

Carolina also incorporates Faith-based practices and Spirituality in her clinical work. She is the founder and President of Love-on, Inc a faith-based non-profit organization in the state of Connecticut, which aims to bridge the gap between faith and mental health.

Carolina believes that a willing spirit is the catalyst and promoter of healthy change and growth. She is passionate about empowering lives of individuals and families. She works relentlessly to help her clients develop their unique talents and passions all while encouraging them to set and reach goals that empower them to become the best versions of self they can be. She believes that our respective adversities may be utilized to our advantage to help strengthen our personal resiliency and adaptability to future challenges. She is sure that within our adversities is the landing strip for our greatest breakthroughs.

Carolina's experience, particularly with adults, has included addressing issues of marital and premarital education, conflict resolution, substance use, trauma, anxiety, adjustment and depressive disorders.

When not in session, Carolina can be found reading a book, worshiping, or spending time with her family and Paw-kids Sir Romeo and Miss Juliet.
